Gobron previews K-8 school budget
Superintendent Charles Gobron previewed the K-8 school budget at a meeting earlier this week. He didn’t talk numbers – that comes next month – rather he discussed the overarching factors that impact the budgeting process. Gobron said the school district is dealing with some significant fiscal constraints, including the loss of one-time savings and the cost of implementing new state mandates. Get ready for the rink!

You may have noticed the newly-constructed Cumberland Farms on Route 9 just before the interchange with Route 495 is now open. This after the town issued a cease and desist order in September because retaining walls were not built according to the plan. The Metrowest Daily News reports today the Zoning Board of Appeals appears inclined to grant the Gulbankian family more time to make improvements to their property that were ordered by the board in 2011 after complaints from neighbors and a lengthy hearing process.
