Two Select Board members will run for different seats this spring and a new candidate has pulled papers; Race forming for School Committee

A two-term member of the Select Board has announced that she won’t be running for re-election this spring. Lisa Braccio will still be on the ballot, but as a candidate for the Planning Board.

Several Citizen Petitions headed to Town Meeting (Updated)

Annual Town Meeting voters will be asked to weigh in on at least 7 petitions, likely more. Deadline for new petitions is Thursday.

Select Board tonight on Regional Dispatch IMA (Updated)

Hopkinton just voted not to move ahead on the 4-town agreement

Tonight, the Southborough Select Board is holding a special meeting. The main purpose is to consider, and potentially vote on, the IMA (Inter-Municipal Agreement) to set up a Dispatch Center other MetroWest towns.

St Mark’s plans to demolish old police & fire stations

The school will explore ways to honor the legacy of the old school annex in their future construction.

It’s an announcement that we always knew was coming. (In fact, I’m surprised it took this long.) But it won’t be welcome news to those who had hoped to find a way to preserve the historic building that housed the police station.
