It’s part of Rachel’s Challenge, a program that aims to “illustrate the need for a kinder, more compassionate nation” in the wake of the Columbine High School shootings in 1999. Algonquin gymnastics team takes the state championship!

Big congratulations go out to the Algonquin girls gymnastics team on taking home the state championship title this weekend. The girls capped off an undefeated season by handily beating Wellesley and top-seeded Acton-Boxborough for the win. Town meeting voters to consider a change in government

At town meeting this year voters will decide whether to continue the process begun by the Town Government Study Committee in 2007 to create a Town Manager government for Southborough. The proposal also includes changing from the current three person Board of Selectmen to a five person board. All of Southborough’s neighboring towns have already made this change.
