The Metrowest Daily News reports Northborough Town Meeting last night approved the Algonquin debt reimbursement compromise rejected by Southborough earlier this month. The compromise was proposed by the Regional School Committee as a way to resolve the dispute between the two towns over how to split mortgage payments for Algonquin over the next 17 years. Register for the Jeanne Arathuzik Memorial 5k Run/Walk
Somehow I missed this when it happened earlier this year, but Dennis Wrenn was not the only loss the Algonquin community faced this year. Jeanne Arathuzik, a much-loved Spanish teacher at Algonquin for 15 years, succumbed to cancer in January. A lifelong Northborough resident, she was only 52 when she died.
