There were a number of potential changes on the table last night as selectmen discussed Transfer Station operations – reduced hours, an increased sticker fee, new fees for disposal of bulky items, and a wintertime closure for the Swap Shop. Members of the Trottier community have been working with the family of Eric Green to plan a celebration of his life to take place on Saturday, June 8 ,at Trottier. Eric passed away suddenly in January 2012 at the age of 12. A seventh grader at Trottier at the time, Eric would have graduated from the school this month. Southborough runners and walkers will take to the streets on Sunday to help raise money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. The last time the Board of Selectmen dealt with the Swap Shop it was huge news. The board ultimately backed off its plan at the time to shutter the leave-and-take area at the Transfer Station after unprecedented public outcry.
