Main Street Design Working Group to continue exploring design options; BOS to ask Ted’s to waive right to use intersection

The Board of Selectmen last night voted for the Main Street Design Working Group to continue their work. The BOS opted to not “block” the group at this stage. On Wednesday night, the State Hearing for the Main Street reconstruction project is taking place. In preparation, five other boards and committees will be discussing the project on Monday and Tuesday.

Thursday night last chance for input to Main Street Design Working Group

Tthe Main Street Design Working Group updated the Board of Selectmen on their work. Chair Martin Healey told the board not to expect their final report until the night before the State Public Hearing. Before preparing the report, they have one more scheduled public hearing. Main Street Working Group wants constructive public input next week

Last night, the Main Street Design Working Group expressed worries about necessary public comment and its pending deadline.

Next week, the group is inviting public comment from 7-9 on Monday, June 2 and Thursday, June 5. Member Claire Reynolds hoped that residents wouldn’t hold their objections to make a show at the June 18th state public hearing.
