United Parishes Lenten Series continues

The Eighth Annual United Parishes Lenten Series kicked off last week at Pilgrim Church with a talk by Rev. Ned Sherrill of St. Mark’s School on the Chapel of Peter and Paul. Saying farewell to Mr. Wrenn

Algonquin music director Dennis Wrenn was laid to rest at Pine Grove cemetery in Grafton this morning. Services were held beforehand at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Arts Center classes start Tuesday

Selectmen reduce school benefits budget by $120K

Going into their meeting last week, the Board of Selectmen were looking at a budget shortfall of $120K for fiscal year 2010. By the end of the evening, the budget was balanced, with the cuts coming entirely from the school benefits budget. Town employees — excluding school employees — currently pay 22.5% of their health
