No decision on whether to reimburse legal fees for town employees

The Board of Selectmen again last night considered whether to reimburse $14K in legal fees incurred by town employees as part of the so-called Southborough Eight investigation. While two selectmen — Bill Boland and John Rooney — said they were strongly in favor of doing so, the board ultimately deferred its decision.

A return to bus parking at Gulbankian Farms?

The Metrowest Daily News has published a couple of stories recently on a dispute between Gulbankian Farms and its neighbors. The Gulbankian family wants to park up to 14 school buses on their property at the corner of Mt. Vickery Road and Route 85 starting July 1. Some neighbors oppose the move because of concerns about noise, traffic, and emissions.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority recently released its annual water quality report — you should have received a copy in the mail, but you can also check it out online — and Southborough did just fine. When tested for PCE, lead, and copper, our water was well below the detection limits.

Southborough sets aside cash for legal battle with Northborough

Diabetes support groups offered at Southboro Medical

Southboro Medical Group wants you to know about two support groups they offer for people suffering from diabetes. One is for those with Type 2 diabetes, the other is for women with Type 1 diabetes. Both are open to all, regardless of whether you’re a patient at Southboro Medical.
