Earthquake centered in southern Maine rattles Southborough

Some thought it was the wind, or an off-kilter washing machine. Others thought it was a passing airplane, or their kids being overly rambunctious upstairs. But turns out it was an earthquake that made homes in Southborough tremble shortly after 7:00 pm today.

Voter turnout in Southborough for the 2008 Presidential Election was 85%. It remains to be seen if we’ll get close to that number this year, but if you’re planning on voting and you’re not yet registered, Wednesday is your last day to do so.
