Dates and times for Algonquin music director Dennis Wrenn’s wake, funeral, and memorial service have finally been set. His daughter Jessica Wrenn Still posted the following details on Facebook:
Arrangements for my father are finally coming together. His wake will be held on Sunday, March 8th, at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn, MA. It is located at 91 Central Street in Auburn. Calling hours will be held from 2-6pm. Parking will be available at the funeral home as well as the Auburn Town Hall.
My father’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 9th, at St. Mary’s Church in N. Grafton, MA. The funeral will begin at 10AM. The church is located at 17 Waterville St., N. Grafton, MA. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that those who wish make a donation to a scholarship in memory of my dad send donations to:
The Dennis Wrenn Scholarship Fund
NSMA c/o Algonquin Regional High School
79 Bartlett Street
Northborough, MA 01532
For those who are unable to attend the wake or funeral, our family is working closely with the Northborough-Southborough Music Association (NMSA) to put together a Musical Tribute to my dad, which will be held on a date to-be-determined in the next few weeks. More information will be posted on this event as it takes shape. Friends, colleagues and alums that would like to actively participate – you are all welcome! It would be great to give everyone a voice on that day. However, logistics and space need to be considered and planned. Any individuals and/or groups who would like to have a 5-minute time slot during the Tribute please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your plan, participants and contact person. We will try to accommodate as many people as possible, but please understand that time constraints may limit how many may participate.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this very difficult time. Your kindness and support has been a great comfort to us.
The church in Grafton is very small, so the family has requested that only close colleagues, personal friends, and family attend the funeral. The wake in Auburn is open to all.
I also have early word that the musical tribute is scheduled for the evening of Monday, March 30.
