Town Line Deli opening soon in Southborough

The Benchmark Deli closed up shop back in October, and since then their former space on Framingham Road at the intersection with Newton Street has sat vacant. Not for much longer.

Zachary DeMichele says he hopes to open the Town Line Deli in the mint green house within the next couple of weeks. Selectmen approved his Common Victualler’s license at their meeting on Tuesday night.

DeMichele told selectmen his restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a “family environment,” and that they’ll offer deli-style meals for “cheap money.”

The restaurant will be open 7 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Sunday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Hmmm. “Cheap money” – sounds like no Boarshead or paninis. :-( We still miss Benchmark…

First of all I would like to comment on the fellow above “Nash” I think that you have nothing better to do than start something, about a place that is so clean. I have eaten there numerous times and the food, the people and the place is so very clean!!!! I just think that you have nothing better to do than try and discourge a place that is trying to make a living!!! You need to find a better hobby and not one that tries to hurt people that you dont even know!!!! And to “mom” cheap money does not always mean “bad food” and as far as the Boarshead that is honestly to much money to buy, but the paninis there are going to start doing them, they have only been open for six weeks there people give them a break!!!!
To the Town Line Deli owners, keep up the great work awesome food and a great enviroment to be in!!!!

Hi Christine – please note – I didn’t say “bad food.” The way you wrote your post above, it sounded like that’s what I said. I purposely didn’t. “Cheap money” to me sounded like there wouldn’t be Boarshead and paninis like Benchmark because those items are usually pricier.

I am glad to hear Town Line will be serving up paninis. Yum. Can’t wait to try them!

Haven’t stopped in yet although I drive by it quite frequently. One of these days I’ll make it threw the doors to judge for myself. I’ve heard only good things about it so far.

I’ve visited this place a few times already. So far I’ve tried a few different sandwiches and the fish and chips. And, I must say the food and prices have been very good. The only complaint I have is that it seems they’re undestaffed at lunch time. It seems they need to hire a few more people for the busy lunch. A few times the service has been slow. Also, a couple of the employees seem to bicker between themselves in front of the customers, which is a little uncomfortable. I think that if these few changes are made this place will be a hit.

Stopped by 2times to try breakfast but its been closed. Can’t figure it out. Hours say they’re open but no one is there. Will be going somewhere else.

Annoyed Patron

The guy behind the grill can’t get a meal out in a timely fashion. I’ve been to many places in the surrounding area and have never had to wait as long as I have there. Took 20 min. to get my sandwich and there was only one other patron there. Two guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
