Obit: William L. Stoddard – September 23, 2011

William L. Stoddard, Jr. 75, of Southborough and formerly of Framingham died on Friday, September 23, 2011 at his home.

He was the husband of Margaret P. (Ferrari) Stoddard for the past 43 years, and the son of the late William L and Louise V. (Duseau) Stoddard.

Mr. Stoddard was a 1954 graduate of Framingham High School and was an Air Force Veteran serving form 1954 to 1958. He was a Staff Sergeant and received the ‘Airman of the Month Award. Bill owned and operated R.M. Davis & Son for 40 years and was known for his quality workmanship and expertise in the Tinsmith field. He was an active member of the Middlesex Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A. M. of Framingham for over 50 years. Bill served several times as Master, District Deputy and several other capacities. He was known as the  “answer man”, both in Lodge and to everyone else who knew him. His knowledge of Masonic history and procedures was invaluable to his fellow Masons.  He was also a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite, the Framingham Temple Assoc., and the Framingham Lodge of Elks.

Besides his wife he leaves his children, Lori Andrews and her husband Scott of E. Douglas; Mark Stoddard of Worcester; his stepchildren, Lynann Kendall of Southborough; Michael J. Graves and is wife Sara of Shrewsbury; a brother James B. Stoddard and his wife Sandra of Framingham; 2 sisters, Gayle Benedict and her husband John of Ashland; Margaret J. Stoddard and Ronald Cavatorta of Ashland; 6 grandchildren, Thomas Andrews; Kathryn, Sara and Sam Kendall; Matthew and Emily Graves; several cousins, a nephew and several nieces.

He was predeceased by Lynann‘s husband Christopher Kendall.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 25, from 4 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough, (Morrisfuneralparlor.com)

A grave side service will be held at 1:30 PM at Southborough Rural Cemetery, Rte 85, Cordaville Rd.
