Obit: Judith A. Shapiro – November 10, 2011

Judith A. Shapiro 1970 – 2011 LENOXDALE Judith A. Fillio-Shapiro, 41, of Crystal Street in Lenoxdale, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 10, at her home.

Born on June 12, 1970, in Pittsfield, daughter of Thomas L. and Judith A. Steurwald Fillio, she was educated in Lenox schools and was a 1988 graduate of Lenox High school. She went on to graduate from Mildred Elley Business School, becoming a medical secretary. After becoming a CNA, she spent many years as a private duty, home health aide. She enjoyed shopping for bargains and spending quality time with her sons fishing.

Judith’s survivors include two sons, Dylan T. Fillio of Alford and Mitchell J. Shapiro of Lenoxdale; one brother, Ken Fillio of Andrews, NC; two sisters, Laura McCarthy and her husband John of Southborough, and Deana Lovellette and her husband Scott of Pittsfield; her step-mother, Patricia Fillio of Lenoxdale, and several nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Judith Fillio-Shapiro will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 12 noon, with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul’s Church, officiating, at the KELLY FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
