Haven’t gotten around to signing up for the Gobble Wobble Road Race next week? There’s still time. Advance registration for runners closes on November 22, and for walkers on November 23. If there’s space, you can also sign up the day of the race.
Organizers of the 5th annual road race are looking for volunteers to help with activities before, during, and after the event. Here’s what they need. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Melissa Shields at melissa.shields@friendsofsouthboro.com. All volunteers will receive a race t-shirt and a gift of thanks.
Before the race
- Monday 11/21, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm: Sort shirts for pre-reg runners
- Wednesday 11/23, 4:00 – 6:00 pm: Pre-registration bib and t-shirt pick up assistance
Race day (Thursday, November 24)
- 7:00 am – Race start at 8:30: Adult shirt distribution to runners, carry water to finish line before start of race, assist with food table and coffee
- 7:00 am – 10:00 am: Children’s Fun Run registration, Children’s Fun Run shirt table (Non-runners preferred for these tasks)
- 9:20 am – Fun Run start and finish line assistance (Runners welcome to help after the race)
- 10:30 am – Clean up
