More snow is forecast for Saturday, and Chestnut Hill Farm is ready for sledding

With snow in the forecast, the organization that manages Chestnut Hill Farm wants to remind residents that, should the snow come, the farm will be open for winter fun.

Mike Francis of The Trustees of Reservations tells me the temporary livestock fence at Chestnut Hill has been moved back to make way for sledding. There are also a number of trails for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing (or hiking if Mother Nature doesn’t come through with the white stuff).

A small parking area is located at the entrance to the property about halfway down Chestnut Hill Road on the right. Slopes for sledding are a short distance from the parking area. More information, including trail maps, are available on the Trustees website here.
