Reminder: Help clean up Southborough on Saturday, April 28

Help make Southborough an even more beautiful place to live at the Annual Town Clean Up on Saturday, April 28. Volunteers are needed to collect trash along roadsides throughout town.

To help, show up at the Department of Public Works building by the Transfer Station at 8:30 am on Saturday (rain date Sunday, April 29) and pick a section of town to clean. You can sign up in advance and adopt your favorite part of town by calling the DPW at 508-485-1210. Trash bags will be provided, but you should bring work gloves.

Volunteers will get coffee and pastries the morning of the event. T-shirts will also be distributed on a first-come basis. After the clean-up, which officially ends at 11:30 am, volunteers can stop by the gazebo on Main Street for pizza, soda, and ice cream.

The event is sponsored by Rotary Club of Southborough, the Department of Public Works,the Green Technology and Recycling Committee, Southborough Open Land Foundation, Domino’s Pizza of Southborougn, NSTAR, Mauro’s Market, Hammond Residential Real Estate, Theroacopia Massage Therapy and Wellness Center, Polar Beverages, and Red Barn Coffee Roasters.

I feel good cleaning up my street and got lots of nice comments from the neighbors who caught us in the act! Missed last year, so there is a lot to pickup!
