Santa Day: Video, pics, and thanks to the sponsors

Right: The weather halted Santa’s planned flight, but didn’t dampen the crowd’s spirit at Santa Day. (Contributed photo)

The members of Southborough Kindergroup are no doubt on Santa’s nice list again this year after putting together another excellent Santa Day last weekend.

The organizers asked me to pass along their thanks to all those who made the 37th annual event possible.

Hundreds of happy children visited Santa Clause in downtown Southborough on Saturday.

The planned helicopter ride was grounded by the rain. But  a crowd still formed to welcome the Jolly Old Elf as he made his way from the Fire Truck to the Community House.

Outside the house, visitors also got to pose with “Olaf the Snowman” from Frozen.

Inside, children enjoyed holiday music, worked on crafts, watched a movie, and had their special time with Santa. And this year, many parents had their holiday stress released in a free chair massage during the wait.

On the way out, visitors gobbled refreshments and entered a raffle.

The day was magical. So, magical, that several of my photos have magically disappeared! (Does anyone have a mischievous Elf on the Shelf on the loose?)

Luckily, Southborough Access Media captured highlights on video. (Scroll down below the long sponsor list for the video and a few more pics!)

The day would not have been possible without support from the sponsors. I want to thank them for helping Kindergroup continue their special tradition.

Special thanks to the following Santa’s Circle sponsors:
