Southborough Historical Museum: Museum open hours; Friends of Burnett House event

The Southborough Historical Society asked me to share that they won’t be on the field at Heritage Day this year. Instead, the group will be holding special open hours at the Southborough Historical Museum from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The museum will be hosting the Friends of the Burnett House.  The group is using the day to reach out to the town. The group will:

  • Highlight the museum’s impressive exhibit about The Burnett Family, The Joseph Burnett Company, and Joseph’s “Deerfoot Farm.”
  • Talk about the Burnett-Garfield House, answer questions about the house and describe the enormous legacy of the Burnett family to the town.
  • Offer simple free refreshments

Looking up information on the Burnett House efforts, I came across this interesting item from their facebook page:
