Postseason: Girls compete for division title; Boys out

Algonquin’s top seed Girls Soccer vanquished Tantasqua 6-1 in the semi-finals. They’ll compete with Wachusett on Saturday for the division title. That takes place 1:00 pm at Wachusett.

The Boys overcame top seed Tantasqua in the soccer quarter finals, only to be taken down by 4th seed Groton-Dunstable in the semi-finals, 3-2.

Once again, Cross Country has their division championship meets this weekend. On Friday at 2:00 pm, the Girls will compete at the Gardener Municipal Golf Course. The Boys are scheduled to run there at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

And Friday Night Lights at Algonquin means T-Hawks taking on Fitchburg at 7:00 pm tonight

Who can remember the last time ARHS Football was 6-3, picked to win going into a game with Fitchburg and will finish the season with my prediction at 8-3? McKay has done a fantastic job of making the ARHS squad believe they can win every game. Go Thawks.
