It’s hard to believe, but camps for the summer are already winding down. Only a couple of weeks remain and time to register is slipping away.
Next week’s Lego robotics camps had registrations deadlines extended to this Friday, July 29:
- Lego WeDo (ages 5-7) week of August 1, 9:00 -11:45 am @ South Union Building
- Lego Robotronics (grades 3-6) week of August 1, 12:15 – 3:00 pm @ South Union Building
Kangaroo Field Hockey camp registration is also due this Friday. But that registration can’t be completed online, so don’t wait until the end of the week. (Especially, since there are only a handful of spots left.)
Registration for one-time specialty camps the week of August 15th are due by August 12th. Those are:
- Skyrise Theater Camp (ages 5-14) 9:00 am – 1:00 pm @ Trottier Middle School
- KIDS on the Run! Intro to T&F w/Mr. McCabe (grades K-3) 9:30 – 11:30 am @ Trottier Middle School
Next week, both will feature field trips. And with the theme of Heroes week, Police and Fire personnel will visit Finn, while campers from Woodward will visit the stations:
Meet our Southborough Heroes and climb into their police car and fire trucks. Ring the police and fire truck sirens. DPW will also come with their Front End Loader that you can climb into. Bring your super powers and your super costumes! Superhero crafts such as capes, masks and super power wands are planned as well as Super Hero Stories.
Extra activities – Little ones at Finn get to romp at Playtown Express on Thursday. Woodward campers will head to Ski Ward to tuba slide on Tuesday. They’ll also get to enjoy one adventure at Fay Discovery Camp, swim at St. Mark’s pool, and enjoy the inflatable slip & slide.
The final week (August 8th) offers no outings. But camps will host three special programs: pony rides, an animal petting zoo, and “Beasties” with Ray Lachance. (Plus Woodward’s water slide and weekly swim.)
