Looking back at events this spring: Night of Art & Wellness, Truck Festival, and Memorial Day

Above: SAM cameras were out and about this spring capturing community events in town.

Yesterday, I shared videos of talks you may have missed this spring. But covering talks and meetings is just part of Southborough Access Media’s service to the town. Another area of their productions is capturing the feel of community events in Southborough.

Here are community events SAM posted from earlier this spring:

Celebrate Wellness

In honor of Mental Health Awareness month, Southborough Youth and Family Services held a special art show celebrating wellness at the Community House. The event in May also included their presentation of the Laurie Sugarcane Whittier Award to Mary Ellen Duggan. Held the same night as an exhibit at the Library (the following video), it was dubbed part of the Town’s Night of Art. (Dedicated blog post.)

Beyond the Art Classroom

The same night as the previous event, the Library hosted a special exhibit put on by the Southborough Cultural Arts Council. All of the artists involved were either Southborough art teachers or former students previously taught by them. (Dedicated blog post.)
