Last week, Southborough ‘s Kelly Donfield organized the Christmas Eve Jingle, a special fundraiser for the pediatric unit at UMASS Memorial’s Children’s Medical Center in Worcester.

She’s repeating the successful event this year. In 2020, volunteers raised almost $3,000. Their goal is $5,000 for this year:

Donations will be allocated to purchase New Xbox systems for patient rooms to help kids stay connected with friends and family while they are in the hospital. Donations will also help to enhance the hospital’s music therapy and canine therapy programs.

The community is invited to make a donation, pick up a jingle bell, and bring outside on Christmas eve at 7:00 pm to jingle for 2 minutes.

Donations can be made online (here). Or you can drop off checks (made payable to UMass Children’s Medical Center) at the same two locations where you can pick up bells now through December 23rd (or while supplies last):

  • 7 Old Harry Road (in the bin by the basketball hoop at the top of the driveway).
  • Or in Northborough at 43 Ridge Road, Northborough (in the bin by the front door)
