  • Southborough Safe Spaces – Pajama Party Movie Night (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church, 15 Common St: Event for grades 6-12 Hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies. For details, click here.

  • Boy Scout Troop 1 Annual Christmas Tree Removal (9:00 am) @ driveways of those who register by Friday night. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Open Lab for Ideas (10:30 – 12:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Biweekly program for 12-18 yr olds to explore how they can use Library equipment to take creative project ideas and make them a reality.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Sold Out – Chestnut Hill by Moonlight: Howling at the Wolf Moon (4:30 – 6:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Learn to track coyotes, skunks, squirrels, and raccoons under the light of the full moon. For details, see related post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Join Miss Kim for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Ages 2-5 years and their parents or caregivers. No registration required. (Mondays & Tuesdays through most of the school year.)
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For planning purposes, the Senior Center is asking potential attendees to RSVP. For details, see related post.

  • Book Bugs: Farm Fun for Little Ones (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. For ages 2 to 5 years old, adult supervision required (siblings under 2 yrs old can attend for free). Bring your little bug to the farm for an interactive children’s story time. We’ll read a farm story, make a craft, and explore the farm! Each day will have a different theme. (Biweekly program.) For details, see related post.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Join Miss Kim for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Ages 2-5 years old and their parents or caregivers. No registration required. (Mondays & Tuesdays through most of the school year.)
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Tuesday Tech Time (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Each week, library staff and teen volunteers will make every effort to assist patrons with technology questions. Bring questions about ebooks and electronic resources. This is a drop in event; no registrations necessary. 
  •  Select Board Office Hours (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Town House Hearing Room, 17 Common St: Residents are invited to drop in to informally speak with two Board members about any questions, concerns or interests. This session will be hosted by Chelsea Malinowski and Andrew Dennington.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Get Cooking! Full Healthy Meal from Home (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ zoom: Free class offered by the Southborough Library. Join Laura Klein, Chef and Wellness Coach, for a hands-on live virtual cooking class featuring easy, delicious, nutritious recipes to help you cook and stay healthy. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Farmer Stress Training for MDAR Partners (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Mass Dept of Agricultural Resources, Office 3, 225 Turnpike Road, 3rd Floor.: A free “Farmer Stress & Mental Health Training” interactive discussion on mental health and wellness for all MDAR staff and partner organizations in Massachusetts interested in supporting healthy and successful farms.   • Elder Law Advice (10:00 – 10:45 am) @ phone or zoom: Southborough seniors can sign up for a free 15 minute session of individualized legal advice from an Elder Law attorney. For details, see the Senior Center’s newsletter, p. 10.

  • Farmer Stress & Mental Health Training (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Mass Dept of Agricultural Resources, Office 3, 225 Turnpike Road, 3rd Floor: A free interactive discussion for farmers and those who support them. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: This weekly story time is for children age 0-2 years and their parents or caregivers. Each session will include puppets, stories, and music. No registration required.
  • Kindness Rocks with Out Metrowest (5:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: LGBTQ+ youth and allies ages 11+ are invited to decorate kindness rocks with a local facilitator from OUT MetroWest.
  • Raising Resilient Kids (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, auditorium, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough. One of a series of expert talks for Southborough and Northborough parents, sponsored by Southborough Public Health.   • Learn to Play Ukulele (3:00 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: A free intro into playing the Ukulele for ages 8-18. After a short lesson, you’ll be able to play songs. No experience necessary. This is part 2 of a 2 part lesson. For details, see dedicated post.

  • DIY Winter wonderland garden workshop (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Gulbankian Farms, 40 Mt Vickery Road: Beat the winter blues and join us to make your own winter wonderland garden! Includes lemon cypress, cyclamen plant, paperwhite narcissus bulbs, succulents, and rustic wooden deer. Top off with snowy white branches and moss to complete your garden. Enjoy watching the fragrant paperwhites grow and bloom. Will thrive inside all season with minimal watering. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, see Facebook event.
