A quick update on the American Legion playoffs. Northborough Post 234’s team is playing in the Final Four tonight.

As I’ve previously posted, the team features high school (including Algonquin) and freshman year of college baseball players from the surrounding towns (including Southborough)

The team lost its first round game 1-2 to upper seed Shrewsbury. Since it’s a double elimination tournament, they went on to play North County last night, who they beat 8-4. That was followed by an 8-3 win over Milford.

Now their back up against Shrewsbury at 7:00 pm today (Tuesday, July 18th) at Holy Cross’ Fitton Field in Worcester.

This summer, Northborough has lost to Shrewsbury twice, but they did triumph once and hope to again.
