Filming day 3: Some photos from Wednesday
Woodward was like a carnival Wednesday evening as fans waited to catch the stars as they left town for the night. People milled about. Older kids fluttered between groups of friends, while the little kids played on the grass oblivious. When a black SUV approached, the tension ratcheted up a notch. And when a car Read the full article → from Filming day 3: Some photos from Wednesday
Photos from the Algonquin performance of Les Mis
Adam Sandler and crew aren’t the only actors in town. Earlier this month, Algonquin students performed a special edition of Les Miserables in honor of the late Dennis Wrenn. Southborough resident Sue Teplansky was there and she took these photos. Read the full article → from Photos from the Algonquin performance of Les Mis
The movie through your lens
Some My Southborough readers sent in great photos they took of the stars. The ones of Chris Rock came from a reader who wanted to remain anonymous, while the ones of Adam Sandler were sent in by former resident Gwen Krawski Kosak. Click images to enlarge. Linda over at Southborough News got some great photos Read the full article → from The movie through your lens
What happened when Adam Sandler visited Woodward
If you read the comments in this post, you might be wondering what really happened when Adam Sandler stopped by Woodward on Monday afternoon to shoot some hoops. Here’s what I found out. As part of the agreement with the school, Sandler gets to use the gym. Apparently he loves to play basketball. When he Read the full article → from What happened when Adam Sandler visited Woodward

What’s this movie called anyway?
The original working title was called “Lake House,” hence the yellow “LAKE” signs you see posted around town. But Loaded Gun Boston reports the name has been changed to “Grown Ups.” Read the full article → from What’s this movie called anyway?
Filming day 2: More fans turn out to see stars
Filming was in the front of the church today, so onlookers were not allowed up on the common or Town House lawn. There was a much bigger turnout than yesterday, but fans had to content themselves with views from across Main Street. There were glimpses of the stars to be had as they filmed in Read the full article → from Filming day 2: More fans turn out to see stars
What did you think of the traffic downtown?
When I arrived downtown Monday morning at around 8:30 am, traffic wasn’t horrible. Main Street westbound seemed fine, as did Route 85. The worst of it was Main Street eastbound, where the line of cars snaked from Route 85 past Fay and down the hill. One of the police officers controlling traffic told me cars Read the full article → from What did you think of the traffic downtown?
Fans line up to get a glimpse of the stars, and they’re not disappointed
When I was lurking around the set yesterday morning, there were only a handful of spectators watching the action. When I returned at the end of the day, it was a whole different scene. The TV camera crews, along with plenty of fans — largely school-aged kids, but adults too — were gathered around waiting Read the full article → from Fans line up to get a glimpse of the stars, and they’re not disappointed
Scenes from a Southborough movie set
Pilgrim was hardly recognizable today, what with all the lights and gear and famous people milling about. Here’s what it all looked like. Find more pictures in my Flickr photostream. First day of filming
The plan was to shoot outside the church today, but the cold, gray weather forced filming inside. I spent a couple of hours around the set this morning and was amazed at how close to the action I got. Onlookers were allowed free reign of the common in front of the church. I stood with Read the full article → from First day of filming
If you could ask the stars one question
Here’s a hypothetical to ponder on movie Monday: Say you’re sitting at Mauro’s enjoying a cup of coffee and Adam Sandler pops in to grab a cup to go, or Salma Hayek, or Chris Rock. (What? It could happen.) You manage to get your wits together in time to ask one question. What question would Read the full article → from If you could ask the stars one question
