MWDN: Developer seeks to amend 40B approval in Southborough
A 16-unit 40B townhouse development on Oak Hill Road called Woodland Meadows is having a hard time getting off the ground. The project was approved in October 2010, but the developer wasn’t happy with many of the conditions attached the approval, so he appeal to the state to have some removed. The appeal was settled last summer, but the Metrowest Daily News reports the project is still facing challenges. Selectmen expected to make town administrator decision on Wednesday

The Board of Selectmen last night interviewed three candidates for the position of town administrator, but said they wanted to “sleep on it” before making a decision. Friday is the last day to register to vote before the state primary

Massachusetts will hold its state primary election on September 6. If you want to cast your ballot, and you’re not already registered to vote, you’ll need to do so no later than Friday, August 17. MWDN: Southborough board OKs fixes to three failing septic systems
The Board of Health yesterday approved plans to fix failing septic systems at two over-55 developments in town, reports the Metrowest Daily News. One of the failing systems is at Vickery Hills Condominiums on Mount Vickery Road, and the other is at at Carriage Hill at Southborough on Carriage Hill Circle.
