When it comes to talking budgets at Town Meeting, it’s a safe bet that the school budgets, which comprise 70% of the town’s spending, will take center stage. Not this year. Both the K-8 and Algonquin budgets passed on Monday with almost no discussion and almost no opposition. Members of the Trottier community have been working with the family of Eric Green to plan a celebration of his life to take place on June 8 at Trottier. Eric passed away suddenly in January 2012 at the age of 12. A seventh grader at Trottier at the time, Eric would have graduated from the school this June. Southborough’s Board of Selectmen has been a 3-member board since the Colonial era.
