Southborough Town Engineer John Woodsmall recently accepted a position as the public works director in Holden (congrats, John!). His last day on the job was Wednesday. The Board of Selectmen this week decided to replace Woodsmall not with another town engineer, but with a staff engineer. It’s a move that is expected to save the town about $20K per year. Herald: Animal rights activist within striking distance of Southborough
Did you hear about this? Animal rights terrorism suspect Daniel Andreas San Diego is on the run from authorities and as of last week was thought to be hiding in Western Mass. Authorities say that puts him within striking distance of several Massachusetts laboratories that use animals in their research – including the Primate Center in Southborough.
