Selectmen won’t accept email comments during meetings
You may be able to watch Board of Selectmen meetings live on public access television from the comfort of you home, but if you want to ask questions or register a comment on any of the items discussed, you’ll have to get up off your couch and head to the Town House. Decision on zoning board reappointment postponed to June 26
The Board of Selectmen last week deliberated for nearly an hour on whether to reappoint Zoning Board of Appeals member Regina McAuliffe to another 5-year term. The board ultimately decided to defer its decision until other candidates for the position could be interviewed. Postseason update: Girls lacrosse advances to the semifinals; rain delays other games
After more than a week of idle time thanks to a first-round bye and some uncooperative weather, the Algonquin girls lacrosse team finally got in their Central Mass Division 1 quarterfinal game yesterday afternoon. Turns out the week off and the rain falling at game time did nothing to dampen the team’s spirit as they rolled past Bromfield by a score of 19-5. During the past two days, residents of Southborough have reported four incidents of phone scam calls from fake solicitors. Postseason update: Boys lacrosse, baseball, girls tennis advance; rain postpones girls lacrosse match
Heavy rain postponed the scheduled girls lacrosse quarterfinal match on Saturday – if the weather cooperates they’ll get the game in later today – as the boys lacrosse, baseball, and girls tennis teams all advanced to the next round. For the girls softball and boys tennis teams it was the end of the road.
