National Grid Forum on Transmission Line Refurbishment — Thursday, November 6 (Updated)
A transmission line that runs through Southborough is scheduled for an upgrading with some poles 20ft higher than the current ones. The electric company is holding a forum for the public to ask questions.

Petitioners seeking help protecting immigration status of a Ukrainian family in Southborough
Look for petitioners seeking signatures at the Transfer Station on Saturday morning, and outside Town Meeting before it opens on Monday night.
Two years ago, I wrote about a family from Odessa Ukraine taking refuge in Southborough. Now, community members who helped support getting the family settled here are asking the public to sign a petition to help their efforts to get the family’s visas renewed. Sing with the Messiah Community Chorus
The annual chorus is recruiting singers to rehearse for the annual Christmas season concert at Pilgrim Church

Safety instruction classes through Southborough Rec
A week from Wednesday, 9-11 yr olds can learn how to be safe when home alone. Rec is also offering courses for babysitting and CPR.
Southborough Recreation is again offering classes for tweens and teens to learn about how to safely take care of themselves or others, and a course that teens and adults can also take advantage of to learn how to respond in an emergency.
