Southborough Summer Nights is FRIDAY! Here’s what you need to know.

It may be happening a bit later than planned, but Southborough Summer Nights on Friday is sure to be just as fun as in past years. Bring a blanket and some lawn chairs to claim an area on the lawn, then head off to enjoy all the activities, food, and music. Here’s all the info you need.

Activities
Activities start at 5:00 pm on Friday. The fireworks display is expected at happen after 8:00 pm or so. The Bubble Romp and Dunk Tank will not take place because of cooler temperatures, but there will still be inflatables and activities to keep the kids happy, including an obstacle course, rock wall, moon walk, and pony rides. New this year are some activities geared toward teens and tweens, including the Wrecking Ball and Basketball Shoot Out.

Music
It wouldn’t be Summer Nights without music. Summer Nights will welcome back The Infractions, a 60′s, 70’s, and 80’s cover band.

Location and parking
All the action happens at Neary Elementary School (53 Parkerville Road). You can park in the Neary or Trottier lots, but the road between the two schools will be closed, so you’ll need to access Neary via Parkerville Road and Trottier via the Deerfoot Road entrance. Find more info on parking, as well as pick up/drop off options in this post.

Food
A varied menu of finger foods and treats will be available for purchase from local establishments, including pizza from Domino’s, kabobs and pulled pork sandwiches by Mr. Jack’s Catering, sandwiches by Quizno’s, hot dogs, burgers, fried dough, and cotton candy by Dean’s Concessions, sushi by Yama Zakura and ice cream by The Creamery.

Raffle prizes
New this year is a raffle featuring a number of great prizes (see a list here). You can purchase tickets at the Summer Nights Information Booth for $5 each or three for $10. Each prize will have its own entry box and drawing, so you can enter to win just the prizes you really want. The raffle drawing is expected to happen around 8:00 pm.
