Southborough police log (11/10 – 11/13): More car vs. deer accidents

Here are the latest logs from the Southborough Police Department (via their Facebook page). Of note, three more car versus deer accidents were reported this weekend.

Thursday, November 10, 2011

  • 12:56 am – Officer out checking on a male party in a dumpster behind Willow Street business. The male checked out o.k., and was advised to leave the area.
  • 1:39 pm – Officers investigated a 911 abandoned call from a Woodland Road residence.
  • 4:44 pm – ARRESTED: A Framingham man was stopped on Turnpike Road and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Notify RMV of Address Change.
  • 4:47 pm – Officers investigated a two car motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 5:25 pm – Officers conducted a well-being check of a Flagg Road resident. The resident checked out fine, and reported to be experiencing trouble with her telephone.
  • 6:05 pm – Officers investigated a two car motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 7:41 pm – ARRESTED: A resident of Bryden Road, Southborough was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault & Battery.

  • 6:08 am – A caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle parked and running in the driveway of their Cordaville Road neighbor. They believed the neighbor was out of town. Officers responded and found the homeowner had returned home.
  • 6:53 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Graystone Way residence.
  • 8:51 am – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 9:48 am – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Newton Street business.
  • 11:00 am – A motorist reported a wire down and across the roadway on Turnpike Road. The responding officer advised that the wire was low, but was not in the roadway. Verizon was notified.
  • 11:15 am – Officers assisted a Boston Road business with an ex-employee who was refusing to return a copy of the business’ key.
  • 1:43 pm – A medical was reported at the Red Roof Inn.
  • 2:35 pm – Officers investigated a report of kids running in and out of a side door to a Turnpike Road business. Responding officers did not locate the kids, but checked the building with the business owner.
  • 3:51 pm – A medical was reported from the Fay Football field on Parkerville Road.
  • 4:25 pm – Officers responded to Marlboro Road to assist Framingham Police with investigating a vehicle that had been involved in a hit & run in their town. The vehicle was stopped on Marlboro Road, and information was obtained for Framingham Police.
  • 5:13 pm – A medical was reported at a Main Street residence.
  • 5:29 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Ashley Road residence.
  • 5:59 pm – Officers investigated a two car motor vehicle accident on Deerfoot Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 6:21 pm – Officers responded with SFD to a report of a brush fire on Meadow Lane. Responding personnel found the wires on a pole in the area were arcing and causing a fire. National Grid was notified and responded to the scene.
  • 7:16 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 7:28 pm – Officers investigated a one car motor vehicle accident on Sears Road. No injuries were reported, and the driver stated that they had swerved to avoid hitting a deer in the roadway.
  • 9:31 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Oregon Road residence.
  • 10:10 pm – Officers investigated a noise complaint in the area of Upland Road. The noise was found to be coming from St. Anne’s church, and those on scene were asked by the responding officer to please keep the noise level down.

  • 12:34 am – Officers investigated a one car motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. The driver had struck a deer in the roadway, and the responding officer had to put the deer down (due to extensive injuries). The driver did not report any injuries.
  • 1:08 am – Officers investigated a one car motor vehicle accident (car vs. tree) on Framingham Road. The driver stated that she had swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The driver was transported from the scene for injuries she had received in the crash.
  • 1:25 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 3:53 am – Officers responded to an Oregon Road residence after receiving a report that someone was trying to break into the residence. No evidence of a break-in was found on scene, and the homeowner believed the noise could have possibly been from an animal in her attic.
  • 7:49 am – A medical was reported at a White Bagley residence.
  • 9:22 am – A juvenile was arrested at a Summit Road residence during a domestic dispute.
  • 12:08 pm – A medical was reported at a Breakneck Hill Road residence.
  • 1:49 pm – A Wyndemere Road resident reported a past domestic assault and battery had taken place at her residence. The responding officer will be filing charges against a male party who resides at the residence.
  • 3:19 pm – A caller reports a loose black lab (with no tags) on Marlboro Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 3:34 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a residence on Mt. Vickery Road.
  • 5:21 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Framingham Road.
  • 6:22 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Marlboro Road residence.
  • 8:33 pm – Officers investigated a loud party complaint at a Joslin Road residence. Officers spoke to those hosting the party and advised them to lower their music.
  • 8:41 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 8:52 pm – Officers responded to a Deerfoot Road residence to investigate a barking dog complaint. Responding officers advised dispatch to contact the Animal Control Officer, in order to make them aware of the situation.
  • 9:17 pm – Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report from Framingham Police of an erratic operator heading towards Southborough from Framingham. Responding officers were not able to locate the vehicle.
  • 10:51 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 11:06 pm – Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report from Framingham Police of a motorist heading east in the westbound lane of Route 9. The vehicle had left the area before the officer’s arrival on scene.

  • 1:00 am – A medical was reported at a Maplecrest Drive residence.
  • 1:01 am – ARRESTED: An Ashland man was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol (2nd offense) and Speeding.
  • 2:14 am – A resident of St. Mark’s Circle reported a lost Golden Retriever.
  • 6:54 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at Neary School.
  • 7:56 am – The Animal Control Officer was notified of a large, dead skunk on Middle Road.
  • 9:29 am – Parking citations were issued for illegal parking on Parkerville Road.
  • 9:54 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 10:14 am – Two dogs were reported to be running loose on Kidder Lane. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 11:32 am – A male party was served a restraining order at the police station.
  • 2:42 pm – Officers assisted a motorist who was locked out of their vehicle on Cordaville Road.
  • 8:15 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
  • 8:20 pm – A Presidential Drive resident reported hearing loud fireworks or gunshots in the area. Responding officers were unable to locate the source of the reported noise.
  • 8:40 pm – A Fisher Road resident also reported hearing loud “pops” in the area. Officers continued to check the area, but did not locate the source of the noise.
  • 8:47 pm – A medical was reported at a Southville Road residence.
  • 10:17 pm – A medical was reported at a Pearl Street residence.
