Pansies for Progress fundraiser – through 3/21 (Updated)

I know there’s a lot of snow still covering the ground, but spring really is around the corner. So, it’s not to soon to place orders for your spring pansies. Especially when it’s in support of a good cause.

Town of Southborough employees are running the Pansies for Progress fundraising drive again for the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.

As in past years, funds are raised in honor of former police chief Bill Webber. (Chief Webber passed away in 2008 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.)

100% of proceeds go to pancreatic cancer research and patient care through UMass Medical School.

Pot sizes have gone up an inch, while the cost has stayed the same. (So, in addition to helping a worthy cause, you are getting more value on the dollar!)

The cost is $5 for one 5-inch pot or $20 for four 5-inch pots.

Please make your checks out to UMMF/PCA upon ordering.

To participate, stop by the Town House or the Southborough Senior Center and order your pansies by Friday, March 21. Or contact them to set up a group order for your garden/social group (call Bill at 508-277-2823.)

The pansies will be delivered April 7-11. (Surely, the ground will be cleared of snow by then!)
