Be careful driving around the area of Neary and Trottier schools tomorrow morning. The New England Center for Children asked me to share their planned route for this year’s 5K Walk/Run for Autism.

The 8th annual race is Saturday, May 10 at Neary School. The route includes Parkerville Road, General Henry Knox Road, John Matthews Road, Clifford Street, Deerfoot Road, and a small section of Route 30 and Middle Street from approximately 10:00 – 11:30 am.

If you are interested in supporting the cause, it’s not too late. Online registration is closed, but you can register onsite beginning at 8:30 am. (Click here for a downloadable reg form to complete in advance.)

Participants can run in the professionally timed race or just walk the course. (No pets allowed.)

There will be promotional booths and family friendly activities set up for before/after the 5k, along with a free cookout afterwards.

All money raised from this event will go directly towards NECC’s Annual Fund, to improve the quality of life for all their students with autism.

With your help, we can continue to promote independence for all our students, share our expertise with the greater autism community, and train more teachers.
