Police logs (7/21-7/26): Burglary at Turnpike Liquor

Police were busy last week. The biggest incident is still ongoing – investigation into a B&E at Turnpike Food & Liquor reported early Friday morning.  (If you have information, please call 508-485-2121 and request to speak with either Detective Sean McCarthy or Lt. Sean James.)

They also tracked evidence of a driver (drunk) with a missing wheel, investigated an elderly woman throwing trash, and responded to a car fire on Route 9.

That’s all in addition to emergency responses to downed trees and wires after Friday’s storm.

Thursday, July 21, 2016:

  • 0131 hrs – Officers responded to Southville Road to investigate a report of a loud motor vehicle operating in the area. The reporting party stated that it sounded like the vehicle had a wheel missing. Officers checked the area and advised Westborough Police of a trail (of scraped pavement) that led into their town. The operator was located and placed under arrest for OUI Alcohol by Westborough Police.
  • 0513 hrs – A medical was reported on Boston Road.
  • 0551 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a large tree branch blocking Parkerville Road. The tree limb was located and the responding officer removed it from the roadway.
  • 0816 hrs – Officers investigated a report of malfunctioning traffic lights at the intersection of River Street and Southville Road.
  • 0945 hrs – A medical was reported at a Woodland Road residence.
  • 1245 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 1334 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Atwood Road residence.
  • 1351 hrs – An officer investigated a report of credit card fraud at a Turnpike Road business. The incident is currently under Investigation by the Detective Unit.
  • 1440 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1515 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a possible Harassment Prevention Order (HPO) violation on Winter Street. After an Investigation, the officer determined that there was no violation.
  • 1554 hrs – An officer investigated a report of Trespassing and Littering at a Johnson Road residence. A homeowner came home to find an elderly woman throwing trash onto the resident’s front lawn. The woman left the area, after being confronted by the homeowner. The responding officer is currently Investigating the incident.
  • 1712 hrs – A requested well-being check was conducted on a Newton Street resident.
  • 1720 hrs – An officer took a report of a stolen mailbox from a resident on Michael Circle.
  • 1948 hrs – An officer responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of a road hazard in the area. A traffic cone was located and removed from the travel lane of Turnpike Road.

Friday, July 22, 2016:

  • 0423 hrs – Officers responded to a report of a possible B & E at Turnpike Food & Liquors on Turnpike Road. The front door was smashed in, and the suspect(s) gained entry to the business. The store owner reported that several items were taken from inside the store. The incident is currently under Investigation by the Detective Unit.   • 0940 hrs – An officer took a report of annoying phone calls from a resident, at the police station.
  • 1123 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of a Turnpike Road business. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1237 hrs – A medical was reported at a Newton Street business.
  • 1330 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a possible intruder at a Darlene Drive residence. The responding officers searched the residence and reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 1614 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Marlboro Road residence.
  • 1638 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1738 hrs – ARRESTED: A Framingham man was charged with OUI 2nd Offense.
  • 2007 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Flagg Road.
  • 2007 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Deerfoot Road.
  • 2008 hrs – Power outages are reported throughout town- including the police station.
  • 2054 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Woodland Road.
  • 2058 hrs – An officer investigated a burglar alarm at an Edgewood Road residence.
  • 2100 hrs – An officer investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2158 hrs – An officer on patrol reported multiple trees and wires down, blocking most of the intersection of Boston Road and Firmin Ave.
  • 2159 hrs – An officer on patrol reported a tree fell onto a car on School Street.
  • 2212 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of School Street.
  • 2309 hrs – An officer investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2317 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2347 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at Trottier Middle School on Parkerville Road.

Saturday, July 23, 2016:

  • 0007 hrs – Officers investigated a complaint on Oregon Road.
  • 0009 hrs – ARRESTED: A Northborough man was charged with OUI Alcohol and Speeding.
  • 0121 hrs – A medical was reported at a Southville Road residence.
  • 0125 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0451 hrs – A resident of Turnpike Road reported hearing a possible car accident in the area. The responding officers searched the area and reported back negative findings.
  • 0608 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0743 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0803 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0920 hrs – An officer investigated a report of malfunctioning traffic lights at the intersection of Turnpike Road and Crystal Pond Road.
  • 1017 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Parkerville Road.
  • 1033 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a possible sink hole in the area of Turnpike Road.
  • 1051 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a suspicious person in the area of Woodland Road.

  • 1217 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Central Street.
  • 1300 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Valley Road resident.
  • 1303 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Andrews Way residence.
  • 1337 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at Mary Finn Elementary School on Richards Road.
  • 1354 hrs – An officer investigated a burglar alarm at a Marlboro Road residence.
  • 1359 hrs – A medical was reported at a Wildwood Drive residence.
  • 1434 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 1436 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Cordaville Road.
  • 1628 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1812 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Parkerville Road.
  • 1847 hrs – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was placed under arrest after he was found to have an active Arrest Warrant out of Framingham Dist. Court for Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension (Subsequent Offense).
  • 1906 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Winter Street.
  • 1945 hrs – Hopkinton Police requested mutual aid from Southborough Police with Investigating a possible tree (and wires) down on Fruit Street in Hopkinton.
  • 2007 hrs – Officers investigated a traffic complaint on Turnpike Road.
  • 2009 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Oak Hill Road.
  • 2058 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Flagg Road.
  • 2119 hrs – A medical was reported at a North Street residence.
  • 2338 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.

Sunday, July 24, 2016:

  • 0004 hrs – Officers responded with the SFD to Turnpike Road (Rt 9 West) to investigate a report of a car on fire near Rt. 85. When officers arrived on scene, they reported back that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The operator and a passenger were located nearby and checked out ok. The fire department extinguished the fire, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • 0441 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 0710 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Newton Street business.
  • 1445 hrs – An officer took a report of annoying phone calls from a town resident.
  • 1619 hrs – A town resident came into the police station to report that they were a victim of Credit Card Fraud. An officer took a report on the incident.
  • 1738 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Pine Hill Road.
  • 1800 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Nathan Stone Road residence.
  • 2024 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a tree down in the area of Gilmore Road.
  • 2330 hrs – A motorist from Lunenburg, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration.
  • 2355 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.

Monday, July 25, 2016:

  • 0003 hrs – An officer on patrol reported suspicious activity at the MBTA station. The reporting officer investigated and then reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 0215 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of a Turnpike Road business. The responding officers checked the area and reported back negative findings.
  • 0831 hrs – A motorist from Hopkinton, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • 0853 hrs – An officer investigated a traffic complaint on Main Street.
  • 0920 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Deerfoot Road residence.
  • 0928 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a rowboat in the reservoir (near White Bagley Road). The boat was located and the individual (a contractor working for the MWRA) checked out ok.
  • 1017 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.
  • 1311 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 1329 hrs – An officer investigated a report of an abandoned motor vehicle in the area of White Bagley Road. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and asked to remove the vehicle from the area.
  • 1412 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Edgewood Drive. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1521 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1537 hrs – An officer investigated a complaint on Walnut Drive. The officer spoke with the involved parties and cleared from the scene.
  • 2346 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2356 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
