  • Healthy Garden Recipes (2:00 – 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Free presentation on preparing healthy meals with the ingredients from your backyard garden! For details, see related post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Join Miss Kim for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Ages 2-5 years and their parents or caregivers. No registration required. (Mondays & Tuesdays through most of the school year.)
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For planning purposes, the Senior Center is asking potential attendees to RSVP. For details, see related post.
  • Youth Writing Club (3:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Weekly Library program for youth ages 11-18. Participants are invited to come share ideas and practice writing skills in a supportive environment. No sign up necessary.

  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Join Miss Kim for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Ages 2-5 years old and their parents or caregivers. No registration required. (Mondays & Tuesdays through most of the school year.)
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Mystery & Puzzle Book Club (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: This monthly book club run by the Southborough Library for grades 2- requires pre-registration. For details, see related post.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • FSYC’s March Munchie Madness @ where: A portion of today’s dine in and takeout sales from Hola Restaurant & Tequila Bar — Online orders only will be donated to Friends of Southborough Youth Commission (raising funds for their annual Camp Scholarships and the annual Winter Wishes programs).   • Library Seed Exchange Launch (10:00 am – 9:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Choose vegetable, herb and/or flower seed packets from our repurposed card catalogue to plant in your home garden. The Library Seed Exchange is an ongoing program – until the seeds at the library run out! The program is made possible with support from The Friends of the Southborough Library.   • Young Scientists STEM Beginnings (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: 1st class in a free 6 week series for kids ages 3-6 to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments.   • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)
  • NSBORO Jazz Night (7:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School auditorium: This year’s guest artist is saxophonist Tucker Antell. The concert features the middle school and high school jazz bands. Admission is free to NSMA members, $3 per child/senior, and $5 for general admission. For details, click here.

  • ARHS Junior College Admissions Panel (9:45 – 11:15 am) @ Algonquin Regional High School auditorium: College admissions counselors will share their knowledge/expertise with students and parents. All juniors will be participating and parents are welcome. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Preschool Farm Explorers (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: For ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years old, Adult supervision required (discount for younger siblings and siblings under 1 yr old can attend for free) Your little farm explorers will become fully immersed in what life is like here at Chestnut Hill. Each session will have a different theme. (Offered twice per month.) Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, see related post.
  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: This weekly story time is for children age 0-2 years and their parents or caregivers. Each session will include puppets, stories, and music. No registration required.
  • Drop-In Art (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Room: Art program geared to ages 5 and up, no registration required. Led by Lanting Huang-Truong from Southborough’s Bigelow Arts. This session she will teach participants how to make animals out of air dry clay. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.

  • Kate Donaghue Local Office Hours (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St, Northborough: Southborough’s State Representative is holding local office hours for any constituent in her district.
  • National Day of Unplugging (sunset today to sunset tomorrow): Southborough Youth and Family Services encourages residents to take part in National Day of Unplugging “to carve out precious time to unplug, relax, reflect, be active, visit the outdoors, and connect with loved ones.”
  • Family Game Night (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Woodward Elementary School, 28 Cordaville Rd: Event to kick off National Day of Unplugging, sponsored by Southborough Youth & Family Services. The event will feature games and Music by Brite House DJs. Concessions and pizza sold by Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission to support the Summer Camp Scholarship program..   • Recital (7:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Putnam Family Arts Center, Class of ’45 Hall: Free concert by Baritone Jason Hwang ’18 and Pianist Jeremy Chan, featuring works by Schubert, Schumann, Bizet, Ives, and Tosti. For details, see flyer.

  • Southborough Library will be closed due to the forecast storm.
  • National Day of Unplugging (through sunset): Southborough Youth and Family Services encourages residents to take part in National Day of Unplugging “to carve out precious time to unplug, relax, reflect, be active, visit the outdoors, and connect with loved ones.”
  • Virtual Moroccan Pastilla Cooking Lesson (time) @ zoom: Part of the Southborough Library’s free virtual cooking series. Pre-registration is required, and registered participants will receive a shopping list in advance to prepare for the class. For details, see related post.
  • Cancelled – Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Postoponed – Music with David Garden (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Join Musician David Garden for some sing-along fun that is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers! All welcome and no registration is required. Sponsored by Friends of the Southborough Library.
  • Chestnut Hill by Moonlight (time) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Uncovering Spring by the Full Worm Moon. Guided moonlit hike by a Trustees of Reservations Ranger. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, see related post.
