Saturday, February 3, 2024

  • D&D: Session 2 (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Registration is required for this event for ages 12+ This is part of the series sponsored by Friends of the Southborough Library and led by a Dungeon Master. This session is the second part of the previously started campaign. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Southborough Safe Spaces Family Game Night (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Church, 27 Main Street: Family event for hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth and their allies. Bring your favorite board games join them for pizza and games. For details, see dedicated post

  • Shir Joy Chorus Concert (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Congregation B’nai Shalom, 117 East Main Street, Westborough: The community chorus dedicated to learning, sharing, & performing Jewish music will perform “Songs of Light & Hope”. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Narcan Training (3:00 – 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: The Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health is providing another session to train the public on how to use Narcan, plus the necessary supplies. Registration is required. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Valentine’s Day Card Making (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Teen Room: Youth ages 10 and up are invited to stop by to make cards for seniors in need. For details, see dedicated post.
  • NSBORO Reads Community Celebration (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Families of all Northborough-Southborough Public School students are invited to a celebration of reading. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Adult Creative Chaos workshop (6:30 – 8:30) @ Apothecary Artists Studio, 1 Boston Road: Learn, create, and explore your inner artist. Registration is required, with a fee. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Therapy Dog (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Destress and relax by spending some time with Julie and glory, a pet partners certified therapy dog. For adults, teens, and kids..
  • Gulbankian’s Ladies Night Out (6:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Tomasso Trattoria, 154 Turnpike Road: Event includes DIY flower arranging and appetizers. There is a registration fee and attendance is limited. For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Young Scientists STEM Beginnings (1:00 – 1:45 pm) @ Southborough Library: This is a free 6-week in-person series for children, ages 3-6 to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments..
