The Southborough History and Arts Center is holding another opening art exhibit this weekend. The Gallery Talk and Opening Reception will spotlight the work of artist Beverly Ramsay.

SHAC promotes:

Artist Beverly Ramsay will be on hand to talk about her exquisitely detailed work, and the fascinating history of how she began her artistic journey. There will be nibbles and bubbles to cheer the way!

The event is free, but organizers are asking attendees to pre-register to help them prepare.

The reception will run from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on May 9th, in SHAC’s Long Gallery in Fayville Hall, 42 Central Street.

SHAC’s event page touts the artists’ work:

Beverly Nunes Ramsay has developed a distinctive art form that transforms handmade paper into pictures celebrating the cultural heritage of nations around the world. Drawing on her diverse background, she shares the richness of these cultures through her work, inviting viewers to see paper not just as a material, but as a medium for storytelling and connection.

Her career includes extensive lectures at colleges and universities, as well as exhibitions in galleries and art shows, where she inspires others to draw from their surroundings, think creatively, and explore innovative ways to use paper in art.

You can read more about her, and see more examples of her work, here.
