If you missed the free fun Southborough Recreation put on last week, make sure your calendar’s marked for next week’s Block Party! (Plus, don’t forget about tonight’s outdoor concert.)
Next Thursday is the second of two family friendly parties that Reck is hosting this summer.
The party is scheduled for 6:00 pm on July 23rd at Finn School, 60 Richards Road. No registration is required to enjoy the family friendly drop-in party. And most of the fun is free.
The event will again feature:
- Crafts
- Face painting or temporary tattoo station
- Games
- Music with dance contests
- A visit from the Red Sox Mascot, Wally (the Green Monster)!
Uhlmann’s food truck will also be selling scooped ice cream.
The venue also features the playgrounds and basketball hoops sized for elementary school aged kids, plus a separate one for preschoolers,
Rec asked me to thank sponsors Eagle Leasing and the Southborough Community Fund for making the series possible.
If the Southborough Police and Fire Departments aren’t tied up, they’ll also likely have representatives and vehicles there to add to the fun.
