I just realized this afternoon that registration for the September and October programs at the Senior Center opens at 10:00 am this Tuesday, September 8th. That’s the morning after Labor Day.
I don’t have time to get into all the details on the programs lined up for early fall. So, I’m just going to highlight a few big events and encourage seniors to check out the newsletter for the rest!
Registration is required for all of these events.
The Annual End of Summer BBQ is Thursday, September 24th at 12:30 pm with a suggested donation of $6. Food includes burgers, hot dogs, & BBQ chicken with ice cream sundaes for dessert (sponsored by New Horizons). The center promotes:
Before the autumn leaves begin to fall, please join us on the front lawn and gather around the grill with our friends from TJ’s of Ashland & the Elderly Brothers!
This fall, the center has one Bus Trip lined up with a suggested donation of $25:
Let’s kick off Fall with a luncheon at the 1761 Old Mill in Westminster on Thursday, October 22 followed by a visit to an old, New England country setting, Bolton Spring Farms. Enjoy your visit to shop for a variety of apples, the bakery, the kitchen and the country store! Cash only on site but there is an ATM for your convenience. Your lunch
options will be provided when registering.
It looks like the center will merge a Halloween party with Bingo. (Also referred to as “Boo Bingo”. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume to the event on Wednesday, October 28th at 1:00 pm. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place costumes.
