The Friends of the Southborough Library has been around since 1972, helping to support the library through volunteerism and fundraising. They provide many of the “extras” that make the library a fun place to be, things like author visits, the museum pass program, and more. New recreation programs announced for the spring and summer
I learned to swim at McCarthy Pool on Route 9, so the announcement by the Recreation Department that swim lessons will once again be offered there brought back a flood of memories. In addition to the new swim lessons, the Rec Department has also added Zumba classes and a Super Sports Camp to its spring/summer lineup. Residents donate nearly 700 pounds of food to the Southborough Food Pantry
The Southborough Food Pantry has received a couple of much-needed donations recently. Earlier this month St. Matthew’s Youth Group collected 331 pounds of food and raised more than $1,000 at their second annual Souper Bowl Sunday (at least something good happened that day).
