It was a heartbreaker for the Algonquin girls basketball team last night. After coming from behind at the end of regulation to force the game into overtime, the girls lost their state semi-final match to Amherst by a score of 49-45. Algonquin girls basketball team wins district championship!

Southborough will have two youth football leagues next season
When the Northboro-Southborough T-Hawks made the decision to split from Pop Warner last month, things got a bit ugly. The two organizations reached a settlement late last week on how to split $90K in assets and $30K in equipment, with both saying they’ll run football and cheer leagues in Northborough and Southborough next year. MWDN: Northboro-Southboro football team switching leagues faces lawsuit
Emails about this situation have been making the rounds in Southborough lately, so some of you may have heard about it already. The Northboro/Southboro Youth Football and Cheer Association has decided to switch from Pop Warner to join the the Central Massachusetts American Youth Football and Cheer Conference.
