Admittedly, I’m a bit delayed in sharing this story. But for anyone lucky enough to hear the Trottier Middle School Big Band play with jazz great Walter Beasley earlier this month (I was), no doubt the music is still reverberating in your head. At the annual Algonquin Senior Scholarship night held in May, the Northborough-Southborough Music Association awarded twelve scholarships totaling $7,000 to graduating seniors. The scholarships recognize students for their “commitment to the music programs and desire to pursue music, making it an integral part of their future,” the organization said.
