Voters may get a second chance to expand the Board of Selectmen
When voters considered the proposal to move to a town manager style of government at Town Meeting last spring, the reaction was decidedly mixed. When the measure ultimately failed, the proposal to expand the Board of Selectmen from three to five members failed along with it. Earn money for Southborough schools while grocery shopping

For the third year in a row, Southborough schools will take part in Stop & Shop’s A+ School Rewards program (formerly called Bonus Bucks). It’s a program that lets shoppers earn money for their favorite school when shopping at a Stop & Shop store. In past years Southborough schools have earned more than $1,000 through the program. Obituary: Rick Mitchell Maxim, 63

Rick Mitchell Maxim, 63, of Southborough and Ogunquit, ME, died on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. He leaves his beloved wife of 38 years, Jane (Walsh) Maxim and his children, Ryan Maxim and his wife Erica, of Worcester; Hayley Maxim of Marlboro, Abigail Maxim of Brighton and his adored granddaughter Ava Jane. Local fitness facility to hold fundraiser for Shanahan family

By now you have surely heard the plight of little Brendan Shanahan, the toddler-aged son of Southborough firefighter Chris Shanahan who was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year.
