Rick Mitchell Maxim, 63, of Southborough and Ogunquit, ME, died on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. By now you have surely heard the plight of little Brendan Shanahan, the toddler-aged son of Southborough firefighter Chris Shanahan who was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year.
