Youth commission seeks sponsors for wine and shopping fundraiser
Southborough Youth and Family Services, which provides counseling, youth activities, education, and preventive and community programs to the residents of Southborough, faces steep budget cuts this year. To help support SYFS, the Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission will hold and night out fundraiser later this month. They’re looking for local businesses to help sponsor the event. Regional school committee declines to get in middle of debt issue
At a special meeting this week, the regional school committee decided to stay out of the tiff between Northborough and Southborough over how to split debt remaining on the Algonquin renovation. The Northborough Board of Selectmen had asked them to file a request for a declaratory judgment on the issue, but the school committee voted unanimously not to do that.
