Children’s room at the library may open this week
Volunteers are hard at work cleaning books and restocking shelves in the children’s room at the Southborough Library. The room has been completely redone since the flood in July, and Children’s Librarian Kim Ivers said she hopes to open by the end of the week. Algonquin students host bone marrow registration drive today
The Algonquin Interact Club, which is affiliated with the Southborough and Northborough Rotary Clubs, is hosting a bone marrow donor registration drive today at Trinity Church in Northborough (map) from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. The drive is being run by the Caitlin Raymond International Registry (CRIR), part of UMass Memorial in Worcester. July unemployment rate holds steady
Unemployment numbers across the board held relatively steady for the month of July. In Southborough’s case, that means the jobless rate of 6.8% was unchanged from last month.
