Last night, 80 voters overruled 54 to determine that Southborough will have a bylaw to delay demolition of historic buildings.

Clearer majorities chose to support other articles, including a solar bylaw, recycling sticker, and actions supporting town recreation.

Town Meeting: Salaries raised to “market rate”, grilling over cemetery supervisor, and hiring an economic coordinator

Town Meeting voters approved more than $50 million in town budgets and expenditures last night. But there’s still a lot of business to be resolved tonight.

Residents didn’t question the bulk of the budget or the biggest expenses. Instead, much of the night was spent debating issues related to town personnel.

Town Meeting Continued to Tuesday night: Demolition Delay Bylaw back in the running

Annual Town Meeting opened at 7:00 pm tonight. Four hours later, it has been continued to 7:30 pm on Tuesday.
