  • Library Garden Workday (8:30 am – 10:30 am) @ Southborough Library’s Pollination Garden: Help with caretaking of and learn more about the garden made up of plants chosen to help native butterflies and bees. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Free Family Yoga in the Park (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Neary Field, 53 Parkerville Road: Part of the Town’s celebration of National Parks & Recreation month. This program is for all ages, but registration is required. For details, see related post.

Monday, July 24, 2023

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Southborough Stories Project (10:30 am – 1:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: This free program for 8-12 year old requires pre-registration and a commitment to attending Monday – Friday.  Workshop participants will use true stories/history to create comic books. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Free Family Yoga in the Park (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Neary Field, 53 Parkerville Road: Part of the Town’s celebration of National Parks & Recreation month. This program is for all ages, but registration is required. For details, see related post.

  • $10 Rounds of Golf (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Golf Club: The club is offering the discounted Greens Fees on Tuesdays in July as part of National Parks & Recreation month. (Carts and any additional services are extra.) Book tee times up to one week in advance online (here) or by calling 508-460-0946
  • Adult Coloring (12:00 – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Program for seniors includes lunch followed by coloring with $3 suggested donation. Pre-registration is required (and it may be full). description. For details, see related post.
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Teen Design Lab (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Weekly drop-in for teens to explore the Idea Lab equipment. No Registration required. (Made possible by support from The Friends of the Southborough Library.) For details, see related post.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Outdoor Story Time (4:00 – 4:45 pm) @ Southborough Library lawn: Join Miss Kim for stories and fun! Please bring a blanket or chair. This event is for all ages and no registration is required. (In case of inclement weather, story time will be held in the Children’s Room.)
  • Eco-Friends (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Weekly discussion group for kids ages 12+ who care about our environment and are looking for ways to make a difference! For details, see related post.
  • Kids’ concert – Southborough Summer Concert Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Neary’s Outdoor Stage, 53 Parkerville Road: Southborough Recreation’s free weekly family friendly outdoor concert series. Bring your dinner or buy one there. This week’s featured act is a children’s musician. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Cooking with Scraps (7:00 pm) @ zoom: A virtual talk with a cookbook author on cooking methods/recipes that minimize food waste. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Science Adventure Book Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Registration is required to join the Southborough Library’s chapter of the Museum of Science weekly summer book club for 4th – 8th graders. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (7:00 -8:30pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.

  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Kids are invited to dance and sing along to a variety of traditional and popular children’s songs Best for newborns through preschool age. No registration necessary. This event will be held on the library lawn. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
  • Grandparents Tea Party (11:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ St. Anne’s Parish Church: In celebration of the Feast of Saints Anne & Joachim “all biological & spiritual grand parents the Lord has blessed us with” are invited and youth grandkids are invited to serve as waiters.   • Canasta (11:15 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.

  • Hike with Goats (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Your reservation gets you and your group of family or friends an hour-long experience with a friendly goat on its own harness and leash. You will first learn how to walk with the goat, and then you’ll be accompanied by a farm staff member as you and your new goat friend make your way around the farm and its trails.
