Wednesday’s traffic mess
Fire Chief John Mauro, Jr. told me strong winds yesterday toppled a tree and forced the closure of Route 9 west near Flagg Road. That’s what caused the major backup along Route 9 last night. Traffic is a mess on Route 9 this evening. I just drove over the Route 85 bridge, and Route 9 west is backed up in both directions as far as the eye can see.
